To commemorate its 75th anniversary, Gwynedd Mercy University sought to create a celebratory magazine and companion gatefold brochure that would capture the university’s history, community, and impact. Gregory was engaged to help bring that vision to life.
Challenge
What began as a simple gatefold brochure quickly grew into something much bigger — a storytelling platform worthy of the university’s 75-year legacy. The GMercyU team came to us with fragments of history, notes on fundraising goals, and inspiration pulled from various peer institutions. But rather than emulate, we sought to define. Each page became a piece of a larger narrative — one that honored the university’s roots while celebrating its impact today. As the project evolved into a full-scale magazine, our challenge wasn’t just editorial, it was emotional. We needed to weave history, purpose, and pride into a single, cohesive voice that carried across every theme, from founding stories and student life to community service and athletics — creating a publication that felt alive, connected, and unmistakably GMercyU.
Solution
Together with GMercyU, we set out to create more than copy. We built a narrative that honored 75 years of purpose, progress, and possibility. Every word was shaped to celebrate the university’s voice: confident, compassionate, and rooted in community. We highlighted milestones that matter. From the opening of its new Health Care Education Center to the breakthroughs happening in research and service — blending history with momentum to show how far GMercyU has come, and where it’s heading next. The final magazine, unveiled during the university’s 75th anniversary celebration, stood as both a tribute and a promise, a bold expression of GMercyU’s legacy of excellence and its ever-expanding future.
